The kick-off meeting for the project, held in early January, presented the first opportunity for the whole project team to gather and prepare for the implementation of the project. As project coordinators, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) hosted everyone for a two day meeting in Liverpool on the 8th and 9th January. The research team, consisting of 24 representatives from the Partners and Experts from across Europe, spent the two days in the wonderful Liverpool Central Library. After a warm welcome from Dr Robert Morris and the team at LJMU (project co-ordinators), the meeting focus turned to outlining and identifying the key roles for the first work package and for the ECO-DC project as a whole. Aside from the project, the group was able to experience some of Liverpool’s attractions with a tour around the city and an exceptional meal at 60 Hope Street, one of Liverpool’s most exclusive restaurants.
